variety of projects, including multi-family, assisted living, and hotel/motel.
The division of 84 Lumber Company was created in 1995 as a new and innovative
way to serve the growing needs of large, commercial builders who had projects
running simultaneously in multiple states.
84 Lumber Company is the
largest privately-held supplier of building materials in the United States.
Founded in 1956 by Joe Hardy in the town of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, 20 miles
south of Pittsburgh, 84 Lumber has 250 stores in 30 states from coast to coast.
In two of the past three years, 84 Lumber sold more building materials to
professional contractors and remodelers than any other supplier. Our company
reported sales of $2 billion in 2013, with 75 percent of that total to
professional contractors.
